Melon Mission

Since 2004, Melon Mission has provided for the basic needs of school-age children living in Kwa Rhoda village, an impoverished area of Nakuru, the third largest city in Kenya. Families living in the densely populated Kwa Rhoda village face a daily struggle for sufficient food, shelter, health care, safety, sanitation, education, and opportunity. Melon Mission's leaders believe all children, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, gender, or circumstance, deserve to live and learn in a safe and supportive environment as they develop physically, socially, and emotionally. Melon Mission strives to provide that environment in hopes of giving children the opportunity to grow to their full potential and have a fighting chance to break the cycle of generational poverty, leading to brighter futures for the children and the community.
